Privacy and Credit Reporting Policy
Privacy and Credit Reporting Policy
ScreedPro Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 77 628 455 265)
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This document has two parts.
Part A is our Privacy Policy. It explains how we handle personal information generally.
Part B is our Credit Reporting Policy. It explains how we handle credit information and credit eligibility information, as required by Part IIIA of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code.
Our contact details, and how to make a complaint, are in Part C at the end.
Part A — Privacy Policy
1. About this policy
This policy explains how ScreedPro collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects personal information, and how you can access that information, correct it, or make a complaint.
In this policy, "ScreedPro", "we", "us" and "our" mean ScreedPro Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 77 628 455 265) and its related bodies corporate, which together supply on-site pumped screed throughout Australia. A list of the companies covered by this policy is available on request.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Because we provide trade credit, we are also a credit provider and are bound by Part IIIA of the Privacy Act and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code. Part B of this document is our credit reporting policy for the purposes of that Code.
This policy applies to our website at www.screedpro.com, to our enquiry, quoting, credit, booking, delivery and account processes, and to any dealings you have with our staff, agents or automated systems.
2. What personal information is
Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether or not it is true and whether or not it is recorded in a material form.
Most of our customers are businesses, and most of the information we hold is business information rather than personal information. However, information about a named individual within a business — a site supervisor, a company director, a sole trader, a guarantor — is personal information, and this policy applies to it.
3. The kinds of personal information we collect
Depending on your dealings with us, we may collect:
-
Contact and identity information — name, job title, employer, business and mobile phone numbers, email address, postal and site addresses.
-
Enquiry and quotation information — details of the project you are enquiring about, site location, access constraints, product and volume requirements, timeframes, and the content of your correspondence with us.
-
Account and transaction information — purchase orders, delivery dockets, invoices, statements, payment records, bank account and card details (card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us in full), and records of communications about your account.
-
Credit information — for customers who apply for a trade credit account, and for individuals who give a personal guarantee. Part B explains this in full.
-
Site and delivery information — site contact details, site access instructions, records of deliveries, photographs of work areas or site conditions, and vehicle telematics and dash camera footage which may incidentally record individuals.
-
Employment and contractor information — where you apply for a role with us or work for us as a contractor: your résumé, work history, qualifications, licences and tickets, referee comments, and information required by law.
-
Website, marketing and system information — IP address, device and browser type, operating system, approximate location, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, referring website, search terms, email and message open and click activity, form submissions, and information collected through cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies. See section 12.
We do not generally collect sensitive information, such as health information. Where we need to — for example, injury or medical details relevant to a site incident, or licence conditions — we collect it only with your consent or where the law permits, and only for the purpose for which it was provided.
4. How we collect personal information
Wherever it is reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you: through our website enquiry and contact forms, by telephone or email, through credit account applications, at your site, and through the course of dealing with your account.
We also collect personal information from third parties, including:
-
your employer, or a business you represent, where you are given as a contact
-
builders, head contractors and other trades who nominate you as a site contact
-
credit reporting bodies, trade references, credit insurers and credit brokers
-
the Australian Business Register and ASIC
-
publicly available sources such as business websites and social media pages
-
our marketing, advertising and analytics providers
-
our service providers and referral partners
If we collect personal information about you from someone else, we will take reasonable steps to make you aware of that collection and of this policy, unless an exception applies.
5. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information
We collect and use personal information for the purposes of running our business, including to:
-
respond to enquiries and prepare quotations
-
assess credit applications and set, review and monitor credit limits
-
schedule, plan and deliver work, and communicate about bookings and site access
-

-

-

-

-

If you do not provide the personal information we ask for, we may not be able to quote for your work, open a credit account, deliver to your site, or respond to your enquiry.
We only use or disclose personal information for the purpose we collected it for, for a related purpose you would reasonably expect, where you have consented, or where the law requires or permits it.
6. Who we disclose personal information to
We may disclose personal information to:
-
our related bodies corporate within the ScreedPro group

-
government agencies, regulators, courts and law enforcement, where required or authorised by law
-
a purchaser or prospective purchaser of our business or assets
We require our service providers to protect personal information and to use it only for the purposes for which we engaged them.
7. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia. The countries in which recipients are likely to be located include the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, New Zealand, Singapore and the Philippines.
Before disclosing personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles, unless an exception under APP 8 applies.
8. Automated decision-making
We use software, including automated systems and artificial intelligence, to help us run our business. Some of these systems use personal information to make, or to substantially assist in making, decisions.
The kinds of decisions involved are:
-
whether to open a trade credit account, and what credit limit and payment terms to set
-
whether an account is placed on hold, placed on cash-on-delivery terms, or stopped for non-payment
-
how enquiries are prioritised, routed and responded to
-
how jobs are scheduled and allocated to crews and plant
-
how overdue accounts are identified and escalated for collection
-
which marketing communications you receive
The kinds of personal information used in these decisions are contact and identity information, credit information (including credit reports, credit limits and payment and default history), account and transaction history, enquiry and job information, and website and marketing engagement information.
Decisions that could significantly affect an individual's rights or interests are reviewed by a person before they take effect. If you believe an automated decision about you is wrong, you can contact us using the details in Part C and ask for it to be reviewed.
9. Direct marketing
We may send you information about our products, services, pricing and availability by email, SMS, post, telephone or through advertising on third-party platforms.
You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any electronic message, by replying to stop SMS messages, or by contacting us using the details in Part C. We will action your request promptly and at no cost to you.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We do not use credit eligibility information for direct marketing.
10. Data quality
We take reasonable steps to make sure the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, up to date, complete and relevant. Please tell us if your details change or if you believe our records are wrong.
11. Security, storage and retention
We store personal information in secure electronic systems and, where relevant, in physical files. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include access controls, staff training, confidentiality obligations, secure hosting and network security.
No system is completely secure. If you believe your dealings with us are no longer secure, please tell us immediately.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as the law requires. Financial and tax records are generally kept for at least seven years. When we no longer need personal information, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it. Credit information is retained and destroyed in accordance with Part IIIA of the Privacy Act.
12. Cookies, pixels, advertising and analytics
Our website and our marketing use cookies, tags, pixels, web beacons, software development kits, device identifiers, tracking links and similar technologies. We use them to make our website work, remember your preferences, understand how our website and communications are used, measure the performance of our advertising, and show you advertising that is more relevant to you.
The categories of technology we use are:
Essential — needed for the website, forms, chat and booking tools to function.
Analytics and performance — to understand how visitors find and use our website, including page views, sessions, traffic sources, conversions, and aggregated heatmap or session-replay information.
Advertising, remarketing and conversion tracking — to deliver advertising on search engines, social media and other websites, to show ads to people who have previously visited our website or given us their details, to build similar or lookalike audiences, and to measure which advertising leads to enquiries.
Marketing automation and communications — to record whether you opened an email or SMS, which links you clicked, which pages you visited afterwards, and to attribute enquiries and phone calls to campaigns, including through call tracking numbers.
Embedded content — video players, maps, review widgets, social media feeds and chat widgets, which may set their own cookies.
These technologies are provided by us and by third parties. The third parties whose technologies we may use include, without limitation, Google (including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and YouTube), Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft (including Microsoft Advertising, the UET tag and Microsoft Clarity), LinkedIn, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest, X, Reddit, Mailchimp (Intuit), HighLevel (GoHighLevel, including LeadConnector tracking, forms, funnels, call tracking and messaging), Hotjar, Cloudflare, Stripe, Zapier, and other advertising, analytics, call tracking, marketing automation, chat and customer relationship management providers we may engage from time to time.
Some of these third parties may combine the information they collect through our website with information they hold about you from other sources, and may use it for their own purposes in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to read those policies and to use the advertising and privacy controls those platforms provide.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse or delete them. You can also opt out of personalised advertising through the settings offered by the platforms above, and through industry tools such as the Australian Digital Advertising Alliance's YourOnlineChoices website. If you refuse cookies, some parts of our website may not work properly.
Our website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
13. Data breaches
We have procedures for identifying, containing and assessing suspected data breaches. If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose information is involved, we will notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
14. Access and correction
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it. Please make your request in writing using the details in Part C, and include enough information for us to identify you and locate the records.
We will usually respond within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request, but we may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of giving you access. If we refuse access or refuse to correct information, we will tell you why in writing and explain how you can complain.
Requests relating to credit information are handled under Part B, which sets out shorter timeframes required by law.
Part B — Credit Reporting Policy
This Part is our credit reporting policy for the purposes of section 21B of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code. It applies where we handle credit information or credit eligibility information about an individual.
The Privacy Act protects individuals. Information about a company is not personal information, and this Part does not apply to it. Where we obtain a credit report about a company, or record a default against a company, the Privacy Act does not govern that information. However, information about individuals contained in those records — such as the names, dates of birth, addresses and directorships of a company's directors — is personal information, and we handle it in accordance with Part A.
15. When this Part applies to you
We provide trade credit to businesses. This Part applies to you if you are an individual and:
-
you apply to us for a trade credit account, including as a sole trader or partner
-
you are a director, principal or officer of a business that applies to us for a trade credit account, and we assess your creditworthiness as part of that application
-
you give, or offer to give, a personal guarantee or indemnity for a customer's account
-
we hold credit information about you for any other reason
16. The kinds of credit information we collect and hold
We may collect and hold:
Identification information — your name, date of birth, current and previous addresses, employer, driver licence number and other details used to identify you.
Consumer credit liability information and commercial credit information — details of credit you have obtained from us or other credit providers, including the credit provider, the type and amount of credit, and the dates it was opened and closed.
Repayment history and payment information — whether you have met your payment obligations to us, and information about the payment behaviour of businesses you are associated with.
Default information — details of overdue payments, defaults, payments that remain overdue, and any related agreements or arrangements.
Court proceedings, insolvency and publicly available information — judgments, court proceedings, external administration, bankruptcy and personal insolvency information, ASIC and Australian Business Register records, and information about your credit worthiness that is publicly available.
Credit reports, scores and assessments — credit reports, credit scores, risk assessments, adverse alerts and monitoring alerts obtained from a credit reporting body, and our own assessments, opinions, credit limits and internal notes derived from them.
Application and guarantee information — the information in your credit application or guarantee, including trade references, financial information and business details.
Information derived from a credit report is "credit eligibility information" and is subject to additional restrictions under the Privacy Act.
17. How we collect and hold credit information
We collect credit information from you directly, from the business you represent, from credit reporting bodies, from trade referees and other credit providers, from our trade credit insurer and credit broker, from public registers, and from our own records of your dealings with us.
We hold credit information in the secure electronic systems described in section 11, with access limited to staff and service providers who need it for the purposes set out below.
18. Why we collect, use and disclose credit information
We collect, use and disclose credit information to:
-
assess an application for trade credit
-
assess whether to accept you as a guarantor
-
set, review, increase, reduce, suspend or withdraw a credit limit or payment terms
-
monitor your creditworthiness and our credit exposure on an ongoing basis
-
arrange and maintain trade credit insurance over your account
-
manage credit and collect amounts that are overdue
-
deal with a complaint or dispute
-
comply with our legal obligations
19. Credit reporting bodies
We may disclose credit information about you to a credit reporting body, and we may obtain credit reports about you from a credit reporting body.
The credit reporting body we currently use is:
CreditorWatch Pty Ltd — creditorwatch.com.au — privacy@creditorwatch.com.au — Level 12, 333 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
A credit reporting body may include information we give it in reports it provides to other credit providers, to help them assess your creditworthiness.
Each credit reporting body has a policy explaining how it manages credit information. You can obtain that policy from the credit reporting body's website, or ask us for a copy.
You have the following rights in relation to a credit reporting body:
-
Pre-screening opt-out. You can ask a credit reporting body not to use information about you for the purposes of pre-screening direct marketing offers by credit providers.
-
Fraud ban. If you believe on reasonable grounds that you have been, or are likely to be, a victim of fraud, you can ask a credit reporting body not to use or disclose information about you.
You make these requests directly to the credit reporting body, using the contact details above.
20. Others we disclose credit information to
We may also disclose credit information about you to:
-
our trade credit insurer, Atradius, and our credit insurance broker, for the purposes of underwriting, obtaining and maintaining credit insurance cover on your account, and of notifying and pursuing claims
-
other credit providers and trade referees, to assess your creditworthiness or to exchange trading history
-
debt collection agencies, our lawyers, and courts and tribunals, in connection with recovery
-
guarantors and prospective guarantors of your account
-
our related bodies corporate, professional advisers and auditors
-
our technology service providers, on the terms described in section 6
-
any person to whom we are required or authorised by law to disclose it
We may disclose credit information to overseas recipients only in the limited circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act. Where we do, recipients are likely to be located in the countries listed in section 7. We do not disclose credit eligibility information to an overseas recipient for the purpose of that recipient assessing your creditworthiness, unless the Privacy Act allows it.
21. Notices we give you
Before we obtain a credit report about you, we will give you notice as required by the Privacy Act, usually in our credit application or guarantee form.
If a payment on your account becomes overdue and we intend to list a default with a credit reporting body, we will first send you the written notices the Privacy Act requires, giving you the opportunity to pay before the listing is made. Those statutory notices apply where the account holder or guarantor is an individual. Where the account holder is a company, we follow the same practice of giving written notice of the overdue amount and of our intention to list, before any listing is made.
22. Access to and correction of credit information
You can ask us for access to the credit information or credit eligibility information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
Please make your request in writing using the details in Part C.
We will respond to an access request within 30 days. We will respond to a correction request within 30 days, and we will not charge you for making or dealing with a correction request. If we need more time to deal with a correction request, we will ask for your agreement to an extension.
To correct your information we may need to consult a credit reporting body or another credit provider. If we do, we will let you know, and we will give you a single response covering the outcome.
If we correct your information, we will tell you, and we will tell any credit reporting body or credit provider we have disclosed the information to. If we decide not to correct it, we will give you written reasons and tell you how to complain.
If we refuse access, we will give you written reasons and tell you how to complain, unless it would be unreasonable to do so.
23. Complaints about credit information
If you believe we have breached Part IIIA of the Privacy Act or the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code, you can complain to us using the details in Part C.
We will acknowledge your complaint in writing within 7 days. We may consult a credit reporting body or another credit provider, and we will tell you if we do. We will give you a written decision within 30 days. If we need longer, we will ask for your agreement to an extension and explain why.
If you are not satisfied with our decision, or we do not respond in time, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, using the details in Part C.
